Fresh Soy Sticks Stir-fried With Chinese Chives
A quick and easy stir fry when you want lots of flavour with very little offort
- 1 pkt Everbest fresh soy sticks
- 3 tbsp cooking oil
- 4 oz Chinese chives roughly 1 bunch
- 1 tsp light soy sauce
- Kosher salt to taste
- 1 tbsp chili oil or toasted sesame oil
Cut the chives into 1-inch segments and discard the tough tips. Alternatively, you can set aside the tough tips to use in stock.
Heat oil in wok over high heat and bring to simmer. Add chives and stir-fry until tender, which should take about 1 minute. Remove the chives from the wok.
Unpack Everbest fresh soy sticks. You may directly add in without rinsing.
Season with soy sauce and stir-fry for a minute longer, or until the sticks have absorbed all the liquid in the wok.
Add the chives back to the wok and stir to combine. Season to taste with salt. Serve immediately. Drizzle with chili oil or sesame oil to give an extra punch.
